What is the difference between a company and a contact?

The company profile includes all the information needed to contact the company (website, email, telephone, fax) and all the information needed for shipments (address name, address lines 1 and 2, city, state, postal code, and country). For each company you can add multiple addresses and designate one as the primary address. You can also add attachments for each address.

Contacts include information for a person at a company for which you have created a profile. (The profile can be as simple as the company’s name.) Under contacts you can include first and last name, title, email, phone number(s), as well as attachments.
